In "The Life and Times of Jeremy Bentham", Charles Widmore tells John Locke that he and the Others protected the Island for three decades before Ben tricked him into leaving the Island. Since Charles was seen at age 17 in 1954, that puts his departure from the Island at some point after 1984. His daughter, Penelope Widmore, is in at least her 30s in 2005, so was Penelope born on the Island, as one of the Others? Or, like Ben and Alex, did Charles adopt Penelope?
